A Podcast Focused on You
My favorite podcast is The Moments Podcast by Lexi Hidalgo, who is an influencer focused on self-love, motivation, environmentalism, and positivity. I listen to her podcast almost every week, her latest episode being called "5 Things We're Letting Go Of & 5 We're Grabbing On To." Hidalgo's podcast is described as a place to "feel understood, a place to know you're never alone, a place to escape." It's free on Spotify, and dives deep into "all of our wild thoughts and unexplainable emotions." She emphasizes that she wants it to be focused on feeling good and inspired, with a goal to help her listeners with their mental health. She uses introduction music and sometimes background music, but it's mostly just her talking, with occasional guests, such as her mom, her close friends, her husband, and other lifestyle influencers.
She also has a very influential platform on TikTok with over 2.7 million followers, which I have been following since 2020. Her content is very consistent throughout the podcast, but her topics can sometimes be repetitive. Listeners enjoy her cozy, "big sister" advice, though some inconsistent audio quality is noticeable, so that is the only thing I would change. It is praised as a comforting, relatable space for young women looking to feel inspired and less alone.
While it may not seem the most appealing to listen to a so-called "self-help" podcast, I personally enjoy her take on life. In my opinion, Hidalgo is a very inspirational person, and her podcast makes me feel like I am right there in the room with her. Her episodes are "bite-sized" or shorter in length, and focus on slowing down, anxiety, and loving oneself, as shown on Spotify. She frequently covers the mental of navigation emotions and building a positive mindset. Her perspective on life is refreshing, intelligent, and just overall inspiring.
