What You Don't Know About Sororities
Greek life at California State University, Long Beach is not a very well-known topic. With over 40,000 students, many don't even know what chapters there are on campus. Many view sororities and fraternities as very stereoytypical organizations of young adults. However, each chapter contains something special: Philanthropy.
Especially Gamma Kappa Alpha Phi, a sorority of over 130 women at CSULB. There are also several other Fraternities and Sororities at CSULB, each with a special purpose, history, and community. Specifically, Alpha Phi's philanthropy is Women's Heart Health, where they focus on raising money for the Alpha Phi Foundation, which donates $100,000 to research and prevention for heart health in women every year. See more about what this means to Alpha Phi, and learn more about theĀ amazing women!
