About Me
Sharing a name with one of the world’s most influential storytellers is no coincidence I take lightly. A fan of Taylor Swift since the age of five, I grew up admiring not just her music, but the discipline, work ethic, and intention behind it. Watching Swift continuously evolve, write her own songs and fight for her creative voice, inspired me to approach writing with the same dedication. Originally from Rocklin, California, just outside Sacramento, I am currently second-year journalism student at California State University, Long Beach. During my first year in college, I developed a strong interest in local news and community-based reporting. I find myself drawn to stories that highlight everyday people, neighborhood events and the issues that shape life at a local level. I'm especially interested in feature writing for the opportunity it provides to explore subjects and people in greater depth. I hope to grow my love for journalism even more throughout my time in college, and to strengthen my knowledge and perception of news even more.
